
Basmati Rice Cooking
Basmati rice cooking has Indian originality. Mainly India and Pakistan produce Basmati rice grains in the open market in huge quantity. Basmati is the scented rice grain which is stuffed with sweet aroma or fragrance. The tongue will be watered if a plate of hot basmati rice is placed in front of any person. It is tasty and delicious. Now, there are certain tips which are essential for cooking the basmati rice in due course of time.
There are several steps and every procedure must be well taken care of for the perfect boiling of basmati rice in perfect temperature. First of all, a woman needs to arrange a vessel or container, fresh water, spoon/ladle or paddle, measurement cup, strainer and sieve and a flattened lid for covering the container. Now, a lady needs to clean Basmati grains in a water faucet or in a basket with running cold water so that there is trace of starch or any stray husk. Double washing will be much beneficial for filtering the rice grain. The next steps come with the vessel. Let 2 ½ cupful water be poured into the container and 2 cups of scented basmati rice be poured into the vessel. Next, one should place the container on to the heater or gas oven for heating. The lid should be placed on the vessel. It will cover the mouth of the container. It will take maximum 15 minutes for steaming rice perfectly.
To know whether rice is boiled, she is required to use a ladle to take one or two rice specks on the palm for crushing. If rice morsels are crushed well, she must switch off the heater and let the vessel be placed on the floor. After leaving the hot rice cool down for couple of minutes, boiled water should be separated from the basmati rice with the help of a sieve. Now, one should again pour the hot rice on to the plate or into the basket and fluff up the rice well. It is now ok for serving at the lunch table. However, with the coming of sophisticated and much more efficient rice cooker, it has now become an easy task to prepare basmati rice. The rice cooker will boil or steam rice within several minutes. The warm light indicator will indicate the proper time when rice will be fully boiled.
